We went to the Fort Worth Zoo on Friday morning with my MOPS group. We spent the morning with Heidi and Joel...the other mom's had strollers and we couldn't keep our "runners" from slowing down. So sadly we got seprated from the group, but had a great time! Rory was afraid of some of the animals...the Zebra's in particular. She shouted "It's coming!" and then began saying "Hold you!" which means pick me up! She slowly warmed up to the animals and loved seeing the Impala's run! "Deer running!" she kept saying.  It was a great day...and on the way home we picked up some Raising Cain's for lunch! yummy!!

Rory Grace...What A HAM?

The last couple months Rory has really become outspoken and she cracks Greg and I up on a daily/minute basis....here are some of the cute things she says/does.

Cute sayings:

"Chill Dada Chill." (She said this to him Sunday morning when he was getting ready for church...I kept asking him "Are you ready yet?" and Rory and I kept knocking on the bathroom door. He said in an annoyed voice "Am I ever going to be able to get ready in PEACE?" to which she replied with "Chill Dadda Chill!") Oh Daddy...Peace left this house the day our little firecracker was born. :)

"Right Here!"  (in a TX twang) If we ask her where anything is...this is her response. Greg loves this!

"ewwww poo poo!" - this is her response if she sees anything Gross.

"Boobies!" - She is very curious about her mommies lady parts. (especially with the new little one obviously making mommies body change) Last night we were watching TV and she just shouted this out for no reason. Greg looked at her and I could tell he was thinking "oh lordy!"

"Otay" ---aka "okay"

"pay outside" aka play outside

"OH MY!" ---my favorite saying...to which she says to anything which deserves an "oh my!"

"All Done!" When she is scared of something...example: Greg took her to get her haircut on Friday and she didn't cry but she did keep saying "All Done!"

"Lawnmower/Weed eater!" -if she hears a loud sound. 

Mommy says, "Who made you?"
Rory, "JESUS!"
Mommy, "yes...and he made you PERFECT!"

When we say our prayers....she folds her hand and bows her head...starts talking gibberish (the word Toby is sometimes in there) and then says AMEN. So cute!

This pic was taken last week when she was getting over Hand Foot and Mouth. (That is why socks with sandals.) When Greg saw her in the outift/get up he said "She looks like Uncle Fo Fo with socks and sandals!" I quickly snapped a pic and sent it to Aunt Reagan and Uncle Fo Fo. This picture shows what a special little HAM she is! :)

Below: Rory's evening snack (a cup of KIX...it really is kid tested mother approved) and the dog's anxiously awaiting for her to drop some.  Which is usually about half the cup!

We had a mellow weekend of delivering meals to the Seniors, Lunch at Chili's, Lowe's, yard work, Church, and attending a special boy's 5th birthday party at Jump For Fun.  I babysit Jack (one of my former student's at Primrose) and Alex usually one Saturday a month. They are two precious boys and I am so glad that I still get to see some of my students. I miss them sooo much! :) Jack invited Rory to his birthday party and she had a blast! :)

We layed low this weekend just to make sure Rory was fully healed. I did get to sneak away Saturday evening for a ladies dinner at Mi Cocina and then we went to Grandma and Grandpa's for a Sunday dinner! She loves her Grandma and Grandpa! :)

Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease :(

it looks bad...but I assure you she isn't in any pain...:)

We have had a bit of sickness around the house the last few days....:(

On Wednesday I took Rory up to my friend Jamie's first grade classroom...I knew something was up when she didn't drink her blue coconut slush and she didn't want to color or play with the kids. :( We came home and she had a fever of 102. She immediately fell asleep and was cuddly the rest of the day. She sat on my lap for a whole movie...which is crazy in itself. She had a fever off and on through the night even reaching 103...we gave her sponge baths and fever reducers which worked only temporarily.

We took her to the doctor on Thursday, where he said her throat was red with sores. He did a strep screen.. negative. He looked at her feet and hands...which she has excema and it has flaired up since we have been playing outside a bunch the last couple of weeks. He said "i would say this is hand,foot,and mouth...but their aren't any blisters."

He sent us home and told us to just keep doing what we were doing....her fever broke yesterday. AND THE BLISTERS BEGAN POPPING UP! She is her happy self again...but still holds her mouth and whines when taking a drink/eating. The rash should be gone soon! We are just glad to have our happy, spunky, Rory Grace back! (not going to lie though...we did enjoy all the snuggles)

Thank you to Daddy who watched Rory while I went to one of my last MOPS meetings this morning! I know she missed going and her teacher said she missed her!

We have had a great family weekend so far...Uncle Buddy was at the Gaylord for a work convention so Rory and I picked him up and we met Mere, Coop, Reagan, and Greg at Uncle Buck's for lunch. We then enjoyed Bass Pro...love that place! Last night Greg grilled hamburgers and we enjoyed the beautiful weather on the patio...This morning we hit the neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt. And have been enjoying the outdoors! Rory loves loves being outside and has a complete meltdown everytime we have to come back inside. (is this what the terrible two's are like? If so I am scared. She has been throwing some big old tantrums the last few weeks that we have never seen before.) It too shall pass....Anyways hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend so far....we can't wait to go to our church tommorow ( Love that Mere and Coopie will be joining us) and enjoy my favorite meal of the year...EASTER POT ROAST LUNCH!
