A Great Morning with my Sweet Rylee Roo :)

Sunday morning was my College BFF (and fellow Roomie) Courtney's Treasured Chest 5K! Her mom, Janet, was diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer in February and they have worked so hard to put Together this 5K to help pay some of her medical bills and also some of the proceeds were donated to the American Cancer Society! (Thank you to all my family member who have helped donate too!) Greg had to work and Rory had a sleepover at Nana and Papa J's, so it was Rylee and JJ who joined me! We had a wonderful time...Rylee was wide awake MILE 1 and then slept MILES 2 and 3. It was a fun morning!! :)

Signs of Spring/Summer...hours of sidewalk chalk fun!! I tell Rory she has to wear her hat if she is in the sun....so miss smarty pants has chosen to sit in the 2 feet shaded area by the gate to do her art work to avoid the ever dreaded HAT! :)

MY SWEET BABY GIRL IS GETTING BIG...her first RICE CEREAL DINNER! She loved it and kept grabbing for MORE! Sweet Angel!

Swim Lessons :)

Well....after being pushed by caring relatives the past two summers to sign Rory up for swim lessons we  finally did it. :) She will be going every Monday starting May 27th through the end of August. And if all goes well I will probably keep her in them through the school year. She had her "swim evaluation" at Aqua Kids on Monday. She was so excited to go...after all we have been taking Lauren to "swim" the past yr and she was ready to see what it was all about. She got in the pool with the instructor and had fun splashing etc...but quickly the excitement turned into panic. She didn't cry but kept saying "i want to get out." and  "i want to swim at Nana's."

I went ahead and signed her up after being reassured that there are "far worse" swim evaluations and "they tend to cry the first few times but then they are okay" and "she will be more open to it when other kids are with her." We will see...SHE WILL BE GOING NO MATTER WHAT after the $$$$ we just spent. lol.

WOO HOO FOR SUMMER ACTIVITIES.

This and That...

We were outside in the backyard when a special surprise flew overhead...A DESPICABLE ME BLIMP! so cool!!

Rory loves to play in the garage on Daddy's "work" bench! She was trying to fix the garage door opener...she fiddled with it with a screwdriver for a a few minutes and here she is testing it out to see if it works. :)

MY LIFE :)

Church Carnival :)

Rory is finally big enough to ride the rides without an adult...she picked of course the blue car. However....after one ride around she began whispering "get me out..get me out." while still clutching the wheel. It was hilarious! People walking by were even laughing. She seemed like she was having fun but just kept saying under her breath "get me out...get me out."

We of course got there right when the carnival opened. However....after being there for about 20 minutes a "dragon" coaster started going. RORY IS AFRAID OF DRAGONS!! Anything Dragon...I think an episode of Cailou has something to do with that. Here is a pic of us leaving with the dragon in the background...Rory burying her face into my neck ready to get the heck out of there. :)

All is right in the world with a box of carnival popcorn!

Tori's Kitchen Shower luncheon...Greg was on a fishing trip so Rory had her first non family member babysitter while Rylee and I attended the shower.  Miss Sarah from church came over and RORY LOVED IT. She didn't want her to leave.

We had a visit from Aunt Linds, Uncle Aaron, and Addison on there way out of town from visiting Grandpa! What a treat!

These times just melt my heart...when the girls are playing on the floor together. They love each other so much
...Yesterday Rylee and Rory were across the room from each other. Rory was watching TV and Rylee just had to be near her..I watched Rylee wiggle her way across the carpet (10 minutes) until she reached he final destination...giving slobbery kisses all over Rory's cheeks. PRECIOUS!!
