Family Fun Day at Parr Park In Grapevine :)

Greg was off work last Friday so we decided to have a Family Fun Day. My MOPS group gave us a list of summer fun activities. (My goal is to go to as many of those places as I can this summer) I have a highlighter and everything to ck off! One of the places is PARR park in Grapevine. I had never heard of it but we decided to check it out and the girls had a blast!! Best of all it was FREE!! We spent most of the morning/early afternoon at the Park and then went to Subway for lunch. It was a great day! :)

Baby Carter Arrives :)

Carter Reed DuBois was born last Wednesday! I got to hold this little guy when I went to visit on Friday! He is one cute little baby. :) Below are some pics from Amanda's shower we hosted back in early April. :)

#1 Big Sister

All Mom's/Dad's know that around dinner or just before is the "witching hour." Most of the time I have Greg to help me, but with the HOT SUMMER DAYS upon us I am left to dinner/bedtime duties solo. (Thankfully Greg does get to go in later in the morning so that is nice. :)) Rory has had a turning point....(I think with age) she has really become my big helper. Tonight..Rylee was fussy and just wanted to be held which makes it very hard to get dinner ready.

So I put her in the bouncer and said, "Rory Grace can you make your sister feel better?"
She put all her favorite toys in her bouncer, gave her the pacifier, and gave lots of kisses..all while she "thought" I wasn't watching. IT MADE ME SO PROUD. Granted...all nights are not like this..but most are and it sure makes my life easier when Rory is mommies big helper. :)

PS And I'm in a much better mood when Daddy gets home, too!! :)

I'm so excited that Kelli is only doing her in home daycare part time! More playdates with the Snyders! On Thursday we went to Let's Jump and then the Beans and Cream Ice Cream shop in downtown Keller. So FUN!!

And We filled our Jar.....:)

We filled our reward Jar and for the most part it's working great! So off to Barnes and Noble we went!
Rory is really into the movie CARS since that is her best buddy Zane's favorite movie. She knows all the names of the characters but has never seen the movie..so of course she saw a "Little Golden Book : CARS 2" that is the book she had to have. :) P.S Since then we borrowed CARS from Kelli..she loves the racing scenes. :)

We went to visit Grandma and Grandpa Mullins in Denton on Monday. It was a great trip! And delicious food was cooked by Grandma....RIBS, DEVILED EGGS, BAKED BEANS, and a yummy strawberry dessert. We love going to Grandma and Grandpa's! They welcome our crazy bunch with open arms...and lots of laughter :)

Swimming Lessons

Well the day finally came for swimming lessons. I was a bit (who am I kidding..extremely) anxious about this day since for the last month since her swim "trial" she has been saying "No swimming lessons!" with a little quiver in her voice. I kept saying how her "friends" were going to be there with her. Well...she sure surprised me when she walked in ready to go! SHE ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT AND DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE. Sorry for the IPHONE pics...but she was so cute. There are two other little boys in her swim class and her teacher Ms. Jayci is a college girl home for the summer. (which helps I think) The lady who did her trial was an older lady...I think younger kids relate more to younger people when it comes to doing something they don't want to do. There was a little boy who started crying half way through the lesson. Rory kept patting him on the back saying, "It's okay. It's okay." I'm not going to lie...I may of shed a couple tears in that pool waiting room. I WAS SO PROUD OF MY MUNCHKIN.  She can't wait to go back next week!
