A Fun Weekend Visiting Friends in College Station

This past weekend we drove down to college station for a reunion with friends! We had a wonderful and relaxing time. We played with the babies and enjoyed steaks and beer! Thank you Kenny and Lindsey for hosting such a big crew. It was so wonderful and relaxing and we had a great time!

Rory and I took Daddy lunch today at work! He works so hard to provide for our family and we love him and miss him on the weekends. Thank you Daddy for everything you do! :)

My assistant Ms. Kelli just had a sweet baby boy (Colton) 2 weeks ago! Rory and I went over there to visit! Kelli went into labor at 32 weeks...was on bed rest at home and at the hospital for4 weeks and had Colton at 36 weeks! Mom and Baby are doing great and he is so sweet and handsome!

Welcome back to Texas dinner at Grandma and Grandpa's

It was wonderful!!! We had so much fun in Nebraska this past weekend. We left after work on Wednesday....first stop was Grandma Connie and Grandpa Dick's to drop Toby off for a few days! Then we headed onto Wichita Kansas and Rory stayed in her first hotel room. She did great...we got there at 1am and she went right to sleep in her portable crib. (However, the return home was a different story) We got up early ate breakfast and continued on to Norfolk. We got there around 3pm and headed out to Grandma Mae's at THE MEADOWS and had Valentinos for dinner. (Great Pizza!) Rory loved Grandma Mae....everytime she caught her eye Rory grinned her biggest grin. She even tried to grab Grandma a few times when she wheeled to the bathroom. She loved playing cards with us and visiting her 5th cousin Mary Gayle (who is 98 years old) and doing great! We spent the days and evenings at THE MEADOWS with Grandma Mae, but the mornings we spent at her old house. She is in the process of selling it so there wasnt any cable. Greg missed the television but I LOVED LOVED IT! We had breakfast, read the paper, sat on the porch and drank coffee and people watched. It was wonderful to be without TV and internet. (I am trying to convince greg to cancel cable...he says maybe after football season..i think he is just humoring me) On Saturday afternoon we left Grandma Mae. :( It was sad to leave her but she loves THE MEADOWS and all her friends there! We headed to OMAHA to visit Great Uncle Marty and Aunt Wanda and Rory's second cousins, Luke and Jake. We had a great time and enjoyed Wanda's Fried Chicken and her delicious OREO CAKE. Rory loved her uncle, aunt, and cousins....especially Luke. She couldnt take her eyes off him and he held her like a pro! We headed back to Salina Kansas on Saturday night...this time Rory was not so easy to go to sleep. She gave us a hard time and I caved and she slept in bed with us! We arrived back in Texas yesterday and Rory received lots of Love from Great Grandpa Dick and Grandma Connie....when we stopped to pick up Toby! It was a wonderful vacation! Thank you to Gigi (Grandma Vickies new name) and Papa J for letting us drive the Escalade! Thank you to Grandma and Grandpa Mullins for taking care of Toby! We can't wait for our next road trip...maybe to the salt mines in Kansas. (That is where Greg is determined to go... :)
