Happy Yellow Easter Party Day! :)

the Little Sprouts Crew :)
Hope everyone had a wonderful and blessed Easter Weekend! :)
We started our Easter off by going to Kelli's Little Sprouts Yellow/Easter Party. Rory loves going there and playing with all the kiddos...especially Colton. She can't give him enough kisses. They all looked so cute in their yellow outfits and Easter bunny hats. Thank you Kelli for inviting us! :)
Friday night we stayed in and Greg cooked Venison K-bobs and after Rory went to sleep we watched THE TOWN...Great Movie.
On Saturday my Mom, Mere, and Cousin Coop came up to visit. We went to BJ's for an early dinner and then came back to the house and watched Pirates of the Caribbean. (our usual ritual when Coop comes to visit....Greg never complains though! :)) On Sunday....we woke up and Coop and Rory hunted their Easter Eggs, we went to church and Coop and Rory went to T-Kids (Sunday school), we then came back and enjoyed a delicious Roast, mashed potatos, green bean, corn, and crescent roll dinner. MY FAVORITE MEAL OF ALL TIME! When Rory went to sleep we watched FOOLS GOLD (it has a semi pirate theme...buried treasure so Coop agreed to watch it) when Rory woke up Greg and I took her and Coop to the park while mom and mere packed up the car. It was a wonderful Easter! We are so thankful to God for all he has given us....he is a wonderful God. :)
Thank you Mom, Mere, and Coop for making the trip...Gas prices are really putting a damper on my "frolicking " trips! Wink Wink!

Trip to Georgetown

Coop and Rory at Chuck E Cheese!!! :)
Aunties :)
Dad doing what he loves most...grilling for his Kiddos!! :)
:)
Rory doing what she loves best...playing in the dog bowls!! :)
and finding drawers that aren't child proof... :)
Harlin the Macaw :)
playing at Britni's:)
visiting Nana at the Nursing home....i think Rory has her daddy's phobia of nursing homes...she had the death grip on me pretty much the whole time. :) We did happen to witness something pretty special though....let me first start by saying...Greg and I always think our grandparents are watching over Rory...we just feel it. And at the nursing home there was a big picture of my Grandad on the wall....Rory had the death grip on me and when she saw the picture she reached out with both arms and smiled and giggled with delight. (like she had seen him before) It was pretty amazing....of course my mom began to cry and I got a little teary eyed myself. :)
this picture cracks me up....cooper has become a picke eater in his old age..ha ha. He was eating his hamburger when he spotted something blue....(the blue part of a toothpick) he decided he didn't want the burger anymore after discovering the blue meat...but after a little persuading..."don't you want to be strong and the fastest boy on the soccer field...you need to eat your meats" he finished the burger.
Last weekend Rory and I packed up and headed to Georgetown to help host by dear friend, Shannon's, Bridal Shower. We loaded up Thursday morning (I should of packed up the car Wednesday night with Greg's help but I didn't...I will never do that again...it took me almost two hours to load the car up and also trying to keep Miss Rory out of trouble) We spent the night at my Dad's and Carlene's Thursday...he grilled burgers and Rory enjoyed hanging out outside. She is not afraid of anything (except stuffed dinosaurs) and as my brother and dad says, "she is a tough girl!" She explores and falls down all the time but just picks herself back up. Friday we stopped by Britni house and Rory enjoyed playing with her doggies and her Macaw, Harlin...we went to Auntie Reagan's house too...and her and Auntie Mere took Rory in a stroller ride down to the square while mommy watched a show Auntie Reagan had recorded for he a couple weeks before. Then we all met Mimi, Auntie Linds, and Cousin Coop for an early dinner at El Patron. Saturday Mimi took Coop and Rory to Chuck E Cheese while Mere and I went to the Shower. My mom said "SHE LOVED IT...and ran around Chuck E Cheese the whole 2 hours!" My mom also watched Rory while I attended a high school friends mom's memorial service who lost her battle with breast cancer. It was a lovely service and just reminded me how fragile and short life is. :(
Amanda came over and we ordered Chinese and went to bed by 8:30pm...Sunday my mom, Rory, and I went to see Nana, target shopping trip, and Dos Salsas for Lunch. It was a great weekend!! I love being surrounded by my family! Greg had to work this weekend....and we missed him so much. He works so hard so Rory and I can frolic around and we love and appreciate him so much.
Thank you Nana V and Papa J for letting us stay at your house!!! We enjoyed it so much! I wish I would of taken more pictures...but here are just a few. :)
A VERY BIG THANK YOU TO MIMI FOR TAKING CARE OF RORY PRETTY MUCH ALL DAY SATURDAY And helping me throughout the weekend!!! Rory loves you and spending time with you! xoxo ME TOO!!!

Uncle Buddy moves to South Texas!

We love and will miss you Uncle Buddy!!!
For those of you who didn't know, my brother lived with us for 6 weeks while he went to Taxidermy school. It was very nice having him here (surprisingly we only got into one little tiff)...he kept Rory and I company when Greg had to work late and Rory loved having him here. The first few weeks...she would walk around the coffee table staring at him...wondering "who is this big dude laying on my couch?" Then she started following him around the house... and by the last week she ran to greet him with arms open squealing with delight. He will by moving to South Texas shortly and will help guide on the El Sauz www.elsauzranch.com (south texas) while doing taxidermy on the side. We are happy he is going to be doing something he enjoys...hunting and keeping people entertained.

This past week was Rory and I's first week home together and boy did I LOVE IT!! I think I burned a million calories chasing her around all day...boy is she on the move. And what a little stinker she is....she loves dog food (and hoards them in both hands so when I am not looking she shoves it in her mouth...needless to say the dog food bowls have been moved to the laundry room) pulling all the plants over (she pulls on a leaf...looks at me...i say "Nooo Rory." and then she pulls the whole plant over...soil and all...and laughs hysterically...i am very scared for the teen years). We love to water the plants, go to the library, visit our friends Kelli and Colton, take walks through the park, she helps mommy clean (she loves the broom), many trips to Walmart (i always forget something), she loves to get the mail and chew on the junk mail, lunch with Papa J/Nana V, and I have been on a couple of babysitting gigs that she has come along for too! We have had a wonderful time....i am so excited to be staying home with her! I will be gettting better about posting at least once a week again! :) Here are some pics from this last week! XOXO
