Rory's 1st Day of Mother's Day Out

Such a big girl...so excited for SCHOOL!!

Showing off her backpack....that she LOVES!!

Rory had her first day of Mother's Day Out at Northwood Church today. We have been talking about school for a couple months now and she was ready to paint, color, sing with friends, and play outside! We dropped her off and she went right in (but did not want to take off her backpack!). We tried to get a picture with her, but she thought we were going to take her backpack off so she wouldn't let us near her.  Her teachers Ms. Nancy and Ms. Lois are so nice! When I picked her up they said she did a great job! That she didn't nap but she laid on her nap mat quietly. I knew she wouldn't nap...so I am so glad she listened to her teachers. She was coloring at a table with a friend when I picked her up and didn't seem to want to leave. SUCCESS! I spent my alone time....at Target, and cleaning the house for our family who is visiting this weekend. Sadly...cleaning is therapeutic when there is not a toddler following you around destroying what you just picked up. I am SOOOO proud of her..I can't believe how big she is!! Of course we had to stop by Sonic for a milkshake treat in honor of her first day at school!! :)

I bought a new lens yesterday...so the camera is FIXED!! woo hoo!

A Little Swim at the Hotel Pool

Rory with her Great Grandma Mae and Daddy!!

I think Rory had a great time in Nebraska with her Daddy and Nana!! She got to visit with Grandma Mae and her Great Uncle Riley and Great Aunt Judy! She enjoyed swimming at the pool and enjoying the Norfolk eateries....Culver's and Valentino's Pizza! She also went to every park in Norfolk (ha ha). We can't wait to go back in June with the whole family!! Thank you again, Daddy and Nana for taking Rory on her summer vacation to Nebraska!! XOXO

Daddy/Daughter/Nana Trip to Nebraska

Greg, Rory, and Vickie should be home in the next few hours after spending a few days in Norfolk, NE visiting Great Grandma Mae. (I just couldn't make the 11 hour drive in my current condition which is big and miserable)  Which means I had 3 days to myself to rest, read, relax, do whatever my heart desired. Boy...did I enjoy this little "mommy" break! I surprised myself and only got a little weepy eyed..when I talked to Rory on the phone...I have NEVER talked to her on the phone which tells you that we are ALWAYS together. She has the cutest, sweetest, most precious voice in the world and her phone voice is even more precious. Hearing.."Hi mommy!" "What are you doing, Mommy?" "I love you Mommy!" "YES!" were the sweetest sounds to my ears.

Here is what I did this long weekend...

Thursday---treated myself to a pedicure, quiet time, took a long nap, and then met Jamie for dinner at Pei Wei/Half Price Books, and then she came over to watch Big Brother

Friday- rented A Little Bit of Heaven from the redbox, went shopping for some new clothes for Rory (she starts mother's day out next week), napped some more, met Grandma and Grandpa Mullins at the movies to see SPARKLE, and then we had dinner at BJ's. :) Thank yall for that special treat!

Saturday-slept till 8:45 (WHAT...haven't done that in yrs) Jamie and I delivered meals to the Seniors in Haltom City (my favorite Senior Ms. Dorothy did miss Rory), lunch at Jason's Deli, and then we went to see The Odd Life of Timothy Green. CUTE! I did babysit my two favorite boys..Jack and Alex last night...

It was such a nice 3 days...and I feel rested and rejuvenated. I am so thankful for Greg and Nana for taking such good care of Rory and for making that long drive with a very active 2.5 year old. From what they tell me she did great...I'll push Greg for more stories when he arrives. :)

I will now take a last minute nap...because I know I will not be able to stop squeezing and hugging the loves of my life for the rest of the day once they arrive. I told them to take lots of pics so I will post those later. Lens still on the fritz....but will def have my camera back by September...xoxo

Wednesday Road Trip to Graham, TX

Maxie B, Me, and Raleigh :)
Rory and I took a Road Trip today to Graham, Tx (1.5 hr drive) to see 2 week old Baby Raleigh. Rory enjoyed playing with Maxie B and I got to snuggle with the precious baby boy (and of course enjoy some girl chat with Miss Ava (fellow Primrose friend). We enjoyed some pizza for lunch and then stopped at the DQ for a little treat on the way home! Love a good girl's Road Trip! :)

Happy 1st Birthday Cousin Jaxson!!

Jaxson, Cousin Tori, Rory, and I  :) Love them!

Rory got a little sampling of what it will be like with a little sibling! She was a good sport and everytime Jaxson squeezed or pulled her she would just smile and say, "Jaaxxson!" in her Tx twang accent.

Loved Jaxson's toys...she got stuck..too funny! :)
On Saturday, we went to Jaxson's birthday party! Rory loves her cousin Jaxson! Greg was able to sneak away from work for a couple of hours to join us! Rory loves to sing the "Happy Birthday Song" and she enjoyed the cupcakes and swimming with Daddy! It was soo much fun!! Happy Birthday Sweet Jaxson!! We love you!

Aunt Linds taking care of Miss Rory at Let's Jump

This was towards the end...I think she jumped herself into a tired little girl ready for a nap! :)

Yeah for Auntie Linds! :)
*I can't figure out how to rotate the pic. I really need to take a blog class.

Met Daddy for Lunch at Schlotsky's

:) Such happy girls!
Linds and I switched Kiddo's at Let's Jump. Linds chased Rory around the whole time and I got to sit and hold sweet Addi. Thank you Auntie Linds! :)

Rory, "CHEESE!"
Baby Addi, "Help me!" lol
Linds and Addi came up to visit us for a few days and we loved having them. I made a pasta dinner one night and then Linds spoiled us with a delicious chicken enchilada dish! It was amazing. They also went with me to my doctor's appointment and we met Greg for lunch. Then we headed to Let's Jump where Linds got quite the work out chasing/jumping with Rory. We also went up to Denton to visit Grandma and Grandma Mullins. The girls had so much fun with each other! Thank you for everything Linds...your visit meant so much to us! xoxo
