Grandma and Grandpa's House

We spent the rainy morning at Grandma and Grandpa Mullins House! We told her last night "Do you want to go see Grandma and Grandpa tommorrow?" (this was about 30 minutes before bed) When we told her "It's time for bed Rory." She began to cry, "GAM MAW GAM MAW HOUSE!" She loves her Great Grandma Connie and Great Grandpa Dick!! :)

Happy Memorial Day!!

Layla and Rory supervising Daddy's grilling skills!!! :)

Greg had to work much of Memorial Day, but Rory and I did get out for a pretty walk with Toby and looked at all the American Flags in our neighborhood. When he arrived home though he lit up the grill and grilled some Hamburgers. (Beef courtesy of Grandma and Grandpa Mullins from Nebraska....and it was GOOOD!!) Greg added some sweet corn on the cob to add to the Nebraska touch! Happy Memorial Day!! So thankful for all the fallen soldiers who have sacrificed so much so that our family can go to sleep at night feeling SAFE. So blessed to live in this wonderful country...God Bless America! :)

Rory and Lauren :)

Playing at Lauren's...she kept calling her baby "Baby Addi." So cute!

Playing outside with Sophie (Lauren's dog)...she didn't hesitate to start bossing her around much like she does with Toby and Layla. :)

Enjoying some water activities :)

Sunday Picnic Lunch at the Park...Mooyah Burgers! :)

MILKSHAKE!! Rory's favorite thing of all time...everytime we pass Sonic she says "Milkshake!"

Swinging with Daddy and a Milkshake...life doesn't get better for this little one!

We had a pretty laid back week/weekend. Rory and I headed to Lauren's house Wednesday and Thursday. (Lauren is one of the very first student's I taught at Primrose...when she was 3 yrs old and now she is almost 8) Her regular babysitter was on vacation so Rory and I were glad we were able to spend a couple of days with her. She loved playing with all her "big girl" toys. Rory was such a trooper since I had to wake her up at 5:30am both mornings to get to Trophy Club by 6am. On Thursday when I woke her up I said,"Do you want to go see Lauren?" She responded (in a state of slumber)..."Kitty Kat, Puppy, Pet!" Friday Rory and I went to Let's Jump (the bounce house place) and we had pizza and movie night! We watched "We Bought a Zoo" so cute!! Daddy had to work almost all day Saturday....but he did get to sneak away for a couple of hours to help Rory and I deliver meals at the Sr. Center and have lunch at Jason's Deli. Saturday afternoon we brought out the water toys and enjoyed the beautiful outdoors! Again this afternoon we enjoyed the outdoors with a picnic after church! :) A great weekend. :)

*a little story...there is an elderly man who lives with his daughter and son-in-law a few houses down from us. I think he is in his  early 90's. His name is Cleonard. He gets his daily exercise by using his walker to walk to the edge of his driveway in our alleyway. (when I talk about Cleonard with Reagan she says it reminds her of the little old man in THE HOLIDAY) Rory and I always see him when we are headed to the park or taking Toby for a walk. He always greets us (Rory) with "hey girl how are you? I love you!" it is the SWEETEST thing in the whole world. She used to be a little shy around him...but this week she shouted "HEY!!!" when she saw him and had this big smile on her face ready to jump out of the wagon. He gave her a candy bar (I think he just wanted to give her a bite but she took the whole PAYDAY!) Rory is such a sweet light to the people around her. I am so proud to be her mommy!

16 Weeks with Baby Hammerlun. I sure am showing a lot sooner with Baby #2! :)

Off to church we go...So glad my mom came. Temple Grandin was a guest speaker at our church today. She is huge autism/asperger's advocate. So I was glad my mom was there to enjoy. There were so many families there with special needs children it was amazing how much impact she has had. "We are all his masterpiece!" Ephesians 2:10

Rory decided to try on my heels before church! She walked better in them than I do! :)

:)

Auntie Linds came to visit! :)

Addi enjoying a little snooze on Uncle Greg! :)

:)

Cheese!!! I love Baby Addi!

Family Time at Nana and Papa! Aunt Terri and Cousin Brit came to visit too!

We had a busy weekend!! On Thursday, Rory and I headed to Azle for the day to spend some time with Nana, Papa, Linds, Addi, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Terri, and Cousin Brit. She loves her cousin Addi and she was such a big helper. She is going to be a great big sis! We did have our first (and hopefully last) pool incident. I opened the back door to head outside..i was right behind Rory and she bolted. She ran right of the pool ledge and into the water. I jumped in right behind her and pulled her out. (We were both fully clothed.) She gasped for air for a second and then cried for a second. And then was happy/smiling again. Mommy on the other hand was in shock and a little terrified. I decided "I HATE POOLS!" lol. It was very scary. I see swimming lessons in the near future.

On Friday, Linds and Addi came over for another play date. Rory loves having her Baby Cousin around. They are just too cute!! We also enjoyed a birthday lunch at Zoe's Kitchen with Nana! That night Greg, Rory, and I made a special trip to Cherry Berry for some yummy yogurt to wish Daddy a Happy 31st Birthday! We love you!

On Saturday, Mimi and Coop came up for a visit and Greg and I headed to the Movie Tavern to see "The Five Year Engagement." It was a good movie! We enjoyed sitting in a cold dark theatre. :) We then grabbed some yummy burgers at Love Shack. Thank you Mimi for taking care of our sweet pea while we had a wonderful date!

Lunch at Zoe's with Nana and Linds!
