A couple weeks ago, Rory and I enjoyed 4 Snow Days!! It was wonderful being home with her and she kept me very busy! How did we occupy our time you ask? Mommy chased her around the house all day. She also mastered the task of using her push/walker toy that Nana V and Papa J gave her for Christmas. The first snow day...she slowly pushed it along. But would get stuck in corners, etc. By day four she was flying over the house, turning, running over the dogs, etc. Daddy also only had to work half days so we enjoyed lots of family time!
Greg was in Orlando at the beginning of last week for a trade show and we were lucky enough to have another snow day while he was gone. We missed him so much!
Rory turns 1 next week and I created a Shutterfly book to celebrate her first year. I was in tears creating this book...she has changed so much over the past year and we have created so many special memories already. I love her so much.
As we all know babies are "suppposed" to be off the bottle by year one. I don't believe that will happen in our case. Ha ha. She is not a big eater...and she loves any kind of bread (pancakes, honey wheat bread, biscuits) however she tends to enjoy playing/throwing the table foods on the floor and watch Toby/Layla fight over them. However I found out yesterday as I was eating a strawberry shortcake skinny cow that she loves those. She reached over and took a big bite and continued to reach for more. I told her.." you can't live off of breads, skinny cows, and crackers." She is still such a tiny thing and only weighs 17 lbs.
She loves to drink water out of her sippy....but when we try to sneak formula/regular milk. She is surprised and not happy when she finds out it is not a refreshing glass of ice water.
She also loves peas!!! I think we will start by feeding her with the dogs outside. Maybe throwing the food on the floor won't be as much fun. :)
