Sweet Brian!

Nathan and Brian Overbeek are moving across the way and they had a going away pool party on Friday to celebrate! We swam, ate pizza, enjoyed Popsicles, and Rory loved going up and down their stairs. (I had a workout!) I taught both boys at Primrose and still babysit them...I will miss their sweet faces. They might even let us adopt their fish, "Michael Young." Rory loved him! I have to say Rory was the only girl at the party (I think there were about 8 other boys) and she loved it. They were so sweet with her! :) She didn't however like being shot with water guns and water balloons! he he.

Rory did so great in her big girl bed last night! We did our normal routine and put her in bed and shut the door. She immediately jumped off the bed and tried to turn the lights on. Greg and I were watching this from the video monitor. As I was washing my face Greg was giving me the four one one. "She just made a bee-line for the window." lol. We were laughing so hard. Is that cruel? Then she lost her pacifier among all the blankets and toys and was throwing everything off the bed in a mad search for it. She was crying during this time. :( After about 10 minutes I went in there and laid down with her for about 10 minutes and she fell asleep. She slept 10pm-7am the entire night! We are so proud of her. She has been waking up when she was in her crib at 3am every night and getting in bed with us...I think she had just outgrown her crib and was uncomfortable. At least, that is what I keep telling myself. Let's hope tonight goes even better!!! She was so excited when she woke up. "I sleep in big girl bed!" YEAH RORY!! I am a little worried about nap time today! WE CAN DO IT!!

A special THANK YOU.....to Mimi and Danny Boy for buying an early BABY #2 gift and purchasing the video monitor. I would not of been able to sleep well without being able to see my little munchkin resting peacefully in her big girl bed. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU MIMI! Thank you to Kelli and Spencer for giving us their double bed! And to Nana and Papa J for the sheet set and pillows!! Rory is one lucky lady! :)

We spent our morning at Chuck E Cheese and then did a little shopping at Babies R Us and Old Navy!! Love when Mimi visits!! Tommorrow is "hopefully" the big day!! Will Rory have a baby brother or sister? We will keep you posted! :)

Last Thursday, Nana treated us to lunch at Zoe's Kitchen and an afternoon at The Fort Worth Children's Museum. Rory's favorite parts were the play grocery store, the waterfall out front, and the rectum slide (sick I know). They had a GROSS exhibit and that was one of the fun things to do. She loves spending time with her Nana! And so do I. Thanks NANA! :)

Daddy's Fishing/Girl's Weekend

Auntie Ray Ray

Greg, Paw Paw, and Uncle Buddy are in Port Mansfield this weekend to do a little fishing. So thankfully, Auntie Reagan came down to keep Rory and I company. We went to Bear Creek Park, Toys R Us, and Christina's for lunch! Greg is terrified to leave me alone right now (afraid I will go into labor) but it makes him feel better if a trusted family member is watching out for me. So Ray Ray was up for the job this weekend. We love you Ray Ray!

We also went over to Aunt JJ's this morning to see her new apartment and then we picked up lunch from Raising Cane's and enjoyed our lunch at Trinity Park in Downtown Fort Worth.

Four Special Ladies :)

Uncle Marty and Aunt Wanda were down from Nebraska last week so all the Hammerlun/Mullins family got together in Azle. Papa J grilled, I consumed lots of yummy dips, and Rory loved swimming!! It was a great evening with family! Rory was spoiled with treats by her Aunt Lisa and Grandma Connie. Thanks for hosting a fun evening Nana and Papa!

Greg, Rory, Maddie, Amanda, and I went to the Trophy Club Splash Pad this morning/afternoon! It was a great time! She loved all the slides...made for a late/long nap this afternoon! :) Thanks for inviting us Aunt Nan! :)

My hardworking husband has to work every July 4th...but we have made it a special tradition to celebrate "turf" style! We always go to Central Market for dinner and then back up to the course to watch the Fireworks. This started over 5 years ago...before kids and we would take our nephew Coopie...We love this tradition and it has become one of my Favorite Days! :) Rory LOVES the golf course and helping her daddy! :)

Rory loved meeting her Great Uncle James...he had "boo boo's" on his legs and she enjoyed watching/replacing the Band Aids. She has to have a band-aid on at all times! :)

My mom's sister (Aunt Vanna) and her husband Uncle James came for a visit to Austin last week! Rory and I drove down Sunday for a visit! We had a Rudy's BBQ lunch with all the family (Mere, Cooper, Reagan, Fuller, Danny Boy, Mimi, Vanna, James, Rory, and I) then we all just hung out and Vanna and James got to know our sweet Rory and her "personality." My mom lives in a two bedroom apartment so she got a hotel just right next door for Rory and I to stay in. It was so nice!! Rory loved the hotel life...we snuggled up and watched the Gymnastics Olympic Trials (Rory loves), enjoyed some popcorn, and took a nice bath in the "hotel bath." The next morning we had breakfast downstairs and then I took Rory into the hotel ballroom where she ran around like a crazy lady. "Race Me!" is what she says. She always WINS!! She is a runner...and anyone knows that upon the first 5 minutes of meeting her. We went to Tres Amigos for lunch and then we went to Aunt Merezie/Auntie Reagan for the afternoon to play with Cooper's new kitty cats! Which Rory loved! We spent the night at PawPaw and Carlene's and did a little swimming and then headed back Tuesday morning. It was a good/short trip!

*my camera once again is on the fritz...it takes 1 pic out of every 4 clicks. And the lens broke on July 4th. A new lens/camera will be purchased soon!
