Halloween Weekend and My First night away from Rory!

Rory's first Halloween was so much fun! The Friday before Halloween Primrose has a Parade of Costumes.....where all the parents line the circular drive and take pictures of their darling little dears in their costumes. The Parade of Costumes is also known as "organized chaos." Daddy, Nana V, and Papa J came to see Miss Rory in her first Parade of Costumes. It was a great time! And afterwards we went to Corner Bakery for dinner! On Saturday, Greg and I dropped Miss Rory off at Nana V and Papa J's for her first overnight stay without mommy. I cried as we pulled out of the neighborhood, but after a little alone time with my hubby.....i thought..."hey this is pretty nice." Nana V texted me every few hours to let me know what Rory was doing and that she was a happy little girl! We had a wonderful time at the Tech/A&M with our good friends Kenny, Lindsey, Terrell, and Rachel. It was so nice to relax and enjoy adult time. I did wake up at 7am and kept nudging greg.....can we go now....i missed Rory so much. We picked Rory up from Nana V and Papa J's and headed to our house for an afternoon of carving pumpkins, and trick or treating. Greg had the amazing chance to go to a world series game with Papa J so we did our trick or treating early and then Rory helped Mommy pass out candy to all the trick or treaters while we watched the Rangers. It was a wonderful Halloween!!
Thank you to Nana V and Papa J for taking such good care of our Peanut!!!
Earlier in the week....getting cute Fall pictures...she loves her little pumpkin!

San Antonio Anniversary/Mom's Birthday Weekend :)

Greg and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary on October 8th! We celebrated by heading to Austin Thursday night and staying with Mimi and Rick! On Friday we went to my favorite restaurant Tres Amigos for lunch and then Greg, Rory, and I headed to San Antonio for a family night on the Riverwalk courtesy of Mimi and Rick. We strolled the Riverwalk (Rory loved it!) and Greg and I had margartias at The Original Mexican Restaurant while Rory people watched. We then headed back to the hotel for a cozy night in. On Saturday, the whole family came up to celebrate my Mom's Birthday! The boys hit a pub and watched the A&M game and the ladies stolled the Riverwalk and ate at Rainforest Cafe for lunch! Rory loved all the noises....and hanging out with her cousin coop!! He strolled her around everywhere and took his job very seriously. At one point we got lost in the hotel trying to find mom's room and i think it was his favorite part taking Rory in and out of the elevators. That night we all went to dinner at Casa Rio....and afterwards Greg stayed in the hotel with Rory while I went to an Irish pub with my siblings. He is so sweet to me! On Sunday we all ate breakfast and headed to the Alamo. I love doing tourist things and especially with Rory! We love traveling with her and showing her new things. On the way home Sunday, Rory said "da da" the whole 2 hours it was so cute!

Thank you so much Mom and Rick for a wonderful weekend! It was so much fun! Happy Birthday Mimi! We love you!

Aunite Linds comes to visit, Ladies night, and the Pumpkin Patch :)

Auntie Linds decided to come and visit this weekend! Greg had to work so i really enjoyed her company and she watched Rory while i got to take a couple of naps! I forgot what those were like. We went shopping on Saturday and went to the Pizza Inn for lunch! Linds and I had so much fun shopping for Rory. Later that night we had a ladies night out with some teachers from work. Daddy took care of Rory. Thank you honey! We had such a fun time! Thank you linds for coming to visit! :)

On Sunday we went to Church and then Greg had to go back up to the golf course so Rory and I decided to join him! She took her first (of many) golf cart rides and enjoyed looking at all the different things! She loves to be outside. Then we went to the Pumpkin Patch and picked out a mommy, daddy, and baby pumpkin! (Yes I am that cheesy!) I have always dreamed of having a child and doing fun festive holiday things! This pumpkin patch adventure was a dream come true! :)

I just wanna squeeze those cheekies!

again with the cheeks! :)

Shopping trip to Walmart. Rory got a new umbrella stroller for our trip to San Antonio next weekend!

Auntie Linds :)

Ladies night! Linds, me, Mrs. Kelli, and Ms. Ava...Great Friends and Good Times. :)
Taking a Golf cart ride :)
The pumpkin patch :)
can you feel the tension? Greg is such a good sport he will do anything to make me laugh/smile...this being one of them. He underestimated how fast this bounce house slide was and he came flying down. The left hand you cant see was trying to grasp at anything to slow him down. It was very humorous and I was bent over laughing. Rory wasn't too impressed by this event either! Good times :)

Pumpkin Patch! Welcome Fall! :)
Greg was in South Carolina last week for a few days so my dear friend Jamie Lynn came over to keep me company! Rory loves her and was instantly attached! Can you feel the love? She even reached out to her for some love which she only does with a select few! She loves her Aunt Jamie. :)

A Wonderful Relaxing Weekend....

yes I made greg stop in the middle of mall traffic to take a picture with the big camera....he is such a trooper!!! Rory loves to shop!!!
Sitting in the high chair at BJ's :)

:) and yes i busted out the camera at BJ's too..."put it away" is a phrase I here quite often from gregory! lol.

you cant tell from the picture but we were blowing bubbles in the front yard. She wasnt too interested and was more obsessed with the grass ! The bubbles entertained her mama though!

Big girl bathtub!!! :)

This weekend was absolutely wonderful!!! It was filled with some much needed family time!!! Friday night Greg and I ordered Pei Wei and after Miss Rory went to sleep we watched Date Night! It was very cute and i loved it!! On Saturday we hit Northeast Mall bright and early and went to every baby store....Nordstroms kids, Gap Kids, Gymboree, and Crazy 8's. Rory has picture day and we were going to one store looking, going to another store looking, back to the other store....you get the picture. I was trying to find the perfect picture day outfit and Greg was such a trooper. "hello again." was what we heard by a couple sales clerks. We did find the perfect outfit and she looks absolutely adorable. We went to BJ's for lunch and enjoyed Rory finally able to sit "comfortably" in a high chair! Then we headed back home to watch football for the rest of the afternoon and evening....

A little side note: We have been attending Northwood Church for the last couple years but just recently made the step to become members. We are taking a 6 week "T-life (Transformation)" class that are an hour before each Worship service on Sunday. It has been a wonderful experience thus fur! Back to Rory though....we always take Rory with us to the worship service and go to the cry room. She went to the nursery the first time on Sunday...when we dropped her off she was happy however she was looking at us like "where are Ms. Flori and Ms. Kristi" (her teachers at Primrose) We think she behaved herself but when we picked her up she had this one little tear on her cheek. It was precious and also a sign she may of had a couple crying fits!! Those poor teenage girls..ha ha. After church...Greg took Rory home while I met my friend Jamie and Lindy for an Italian lunch. It was great having a girls lunch! I haven't had one in a while! Thank you honey! The rest of Sunday was devoted to Football :) It was a perfect weekend!

I miss and love you dad! :)

We drove down Saturday to break in Lindsey and Aarons new house in Hutto!!! It is adorable!! We had a wonderful time and Rory enjoyed being ohhh and aahhhed over all day by relatives and friends. (Mommy and Daddy enjoyed that too!) It was a great day trip! We also got to hang out with my dad a little on Sunday. With a bit of sad news....my brothers dog dottie passed away this weekend at 13 years old. She has been a constant companion and best friend to my brother since he was 11. Amanda and I still remember driving to the airport with my dad to pick her up when we were 14! She was a great dog and very loving. We will miss Dotsfield...xoxo. She had her last hunt last weekend and past away and was buried at the hunting lease in South Texas where she spent her glory days. :)
