While Greg is in Vegas this week for the GCSAA Education Conference (how convenient this close nit group of Superintendents get to spend a "training" week in Vegas...I am not convinced it will be all work. :)) Rory and I have been keeping ourselves very busy.

Sunday Afternoon after Greg left: We did the "park hop" as I like to call it. We hit the trails by our house and stop at about 3 or 4 parks and play about 15 minutes at each one. It gives me a good hour walk and Rory loves it. It is the only time she doesn't arch that back and buckle her legs when trying to put her back in the stroller. "Do you want to go to the next park?" I say. "I do!" she replies...and then willingly climbs in her stroller. However, when we approach our street she realizes the park hop is over and begins to squeal and buckle the legs/arch the back...etc.

Monday: We went to Babygarden at the libray in the morning and then Little Sprouts in the afternoon. :)

Tuesday: We went to Milestone Church in the morning and played on the Jungle Gym for a couple of hours. In the afternoon we took Rory to her dermatologist (she has a form of Cradle Cap for toddlers and is loosing her hair and dry patches throughout....she was perscribed a special shampoo...so hopefully it will be gone soon) since we were in the Southlake area...we went to Central Market and enjoyed some chips/queso/and guacamole and enjoyed the playground. (CENTRAL MARKET with a Playground is the greatest invention ever...and did I mention kids eat free on Tuesdays) :) Sitting there eating chips and salsa with my little munchkin enjoying the outdoors..i became a little sentimental...she is my best little friend in the whole wide world. :)

Wednesday: Today we took a trip to the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens. It was AMAZING!!! Rory loved it! We fed the ducks and fishies and she loved running around all the trails and up and down the stairs. This is a wonderful place for toddlers! And it was only $4 for me and Free for Rory! Not to mention how relaxing it was...so pretty! We are no longer taking the stroller places...and we are trying to "train" her to stay close to us and hold our hands. She is pretty good about staying close to me...holding my hand is another story...she is a little Miss Independent. This evening Aunt Jamie is coming over and tommorow Daddy comes home!! Woo hoo!!

We went to Little Sprouts this afternoon for the RED/Valentine Party!! It was so cute and so much fun! Tonight I cooked a chicken taco dinner for my special hubby and tommorow we are going to the Dallas Stars game for our Valentine date night!! Rory had a great Birthday weekend last weekend! Reagan and Coop drove up Friday and we all went to the park to play some basketball and then we hit up Blue Cherry for some delicous sweetness! On Saturday we went to Jump for Fun for one of Rory's friends, Tay Tay's, birthday party! Coop and Rory had so much fun. (I left my camera home for that so I will post some of those pics that a friend took...later) Then Rory, Reagan, and I took a Siesta before Rory's party and Greg and Coop ran some errands. Saturday night was Rory's big birthday bash at Chuck E Cheese...It was so much fun!! Crazy Fun...but FUN!!! Thank you to all our Friends and Family who came to wish Rory a Happy 2nd Birthday!

On Sunday...we went to Church and had lunch with my Mom, Danny Boy, and Coop at OUR PLACE. Rory sat in her high chair the ENTIRE meal...which is saying something...Cooper was a big part of that...he entertained her and she just grinned at him the whole time. It warms my heart seeing them together...I am going to get choked up typing this. He is such a special boy with the biggest heart...and he takes such good care of our sweet Rory. okay...i got off track...

It was a wonderful weekend....tommorow is Rory's real birthday and Greg and I are taking her to the Grapevine Aquarium and then to the DISNEY STORE for her to pick out a treat!! We love you sooo much sweet baby girl. We are so glad that GOD chose us to be your parents...what an honor and pleasure to be your Mommy and Daddy. You brighten our days and bring smiles to our faces always. We love you!
