"The IPAD Monster"... I was changing Rylee's diaper and came back to this sweet angel swiping through the photos! She pulled the chair up and navigated her way to the photo slide show that we show her sometimes. Kids these days! She can work the IPAD better then me.

The finished product! (They sent home this stocking for us to decorate and bring back to hang on the "school" fire place.) I think they are trying to encourage artwork with your kiddos! I liked it..we had fun. Of course Rory had to eat some paint and glue to finish it off. She did it all by herself...except the name.


We are enjoying the beginning of the holiday season! We went to Bass Pro on Sunday to see Santa, Rylee slept through it all and Rory was a little afraid of Mr. Claus..however when he showed her a candy cane...she got close...sort of. Two weekends ago, Rory had viral Bronchitis, which turned into sinus issues. Then...Greg had a random virus that caused a 102 fever and now Rylee Roo has RSV! Can't wait till we are ALL 100% better!!

We had a great Thanksgiving on the Hammerlun side! On Wednesday..Rory, Rylee, and I headed out to Azle to have a "playdate" with Addie and visit with Nana and Linds. Rylee and I came home and Rory had a sleep over with Nana and Papa! (Thank you!) Aunt JJ's car broke down headed out of town to Missouri..so she was without a car and spent a couple of days with us!! It was so nice to have her and Greg even offered to give her "room and board" so she could live with us full time and help us with our two kiddos. ha ha! But seriously JJ!! We went to Aunt Terri's on Thanksgiving and had a wonderful FEAST!! Thank you to all the ladies who cooked such a delicious meal! And last night, Nana and Papa came over for a visit and we had BJ's for dinner! It was a great Thanksgiving and so glad we didn't have to travel! So much to thank God for this year! He has blessed us with two healthy little girls and that is all we could ask for.

We had a great Thanksgiving in Georgetown this weekend!! With the exception Rory got sick with Bronchitis. She is still recovering at home...thankfully we had a doctor in the house. No fever...just a DEEP DEEP cough and she is TIRED. You wouldn't know she was SICK during the day but at night it hits her. Anywho...we had a great weekend of family bonding...eating and watching football. Thank you to everyone who helped Greg and I with our two kiddos. It was so nice and helpful to have a lot of extra arms. Thanks PawPaw and Carlene for hosting/cooking!! Love y'all!! Miss my family already! :(

I started watching Lauren again after a month off! She is such a big help...and surprisingly I get out of the house faster with her help. She helps take Rory to the restroom and keeps her busy while I am nursing. And she held Rylee while I loaded up the million things to get Rory and Lauren to school.

 Here is a funny store: While breastfeeding at home...I don't use anything to cover up. (this may be too much info) But of coure when Lauren is here I use the good ole "hooter hider." Well Rory thinks this is odd and continuously lifts up the hooter hider and says "Rylee..where are yooouuu?" So needless to say Lauren took Rory to her room and read her books while I fed Rylee. lol. Again...She is such a big help! When we picked Lauren up from school yesterday...this is the conversation I heard.

Rory: "Lauren hold my hand!" They hold hands and start walking towards the car. (Rory on her leash and me holding Rylee..I told Lauren I would have Rory on a leash and when she saw us she said, "I thought you were kidding about the leash." ha ha. anyways...)

Lauren: "I missed you Rory!" (big hugs)

Rory: "I missed you too!"

It was the sweetest thing. These girls but heads like sisters...but they truly love each other. It made my day and my heart happy!

This weekend we took Rylee out and about with us! On Saturday, Rylee had her first trip to the golf course. Rory and I dropped her off to spend some time with Daddy while we went to a friend's (from sunday school) birthday party. Rory was the only little friend who came so she got a lot of attention from Noah's older sister and cousins. She loved it! It was nice to get out just the two of us so I could give her some extra attention. We finished Saturday watching football at home and ordering PIZZA! On Sunday, Rylee had her first visit to church. Greg and I watched Pastor Bob preach from the cry room and we were just talking about how it seems like only yesterday we were in there rocking Rory. Time sure flies! Just listening to the worship songs and staring at her sweet face made me think of how much GOD has blessed us with our two precious girls and my sweet husband. I love our little family!

*oh yes. Friday was MOPS...and my first dilemma with two. Let's just say we were walking out to the car...Rory was pushing the stroller....we were on a hill...and Rory bolted away from me in a busy parking lot. After lots of tears (from me only..Rory thought it was hilarious)...I made the decision...RORY WILL BE WEARING THAT LEASH FOR A WHILE...and I DON'T care if I'm judged. lol.

Lovin Life....

Today was my first day SOLO...I am not going to lie, I have been very anxious about this day. But my two sweet girls AMAZE me. It has been way easier then expected. (mainly because my little Rylee Roo is a good napper) We had some sister play time from 5:30am till about 9am...and then Rylee fell asleep from 9:30-12:30...so I got to spend some much needed one on one time with Miss Rory Grace. She cuddled up in my lap and we read books watched Caillou...ate lunch together..painted. We both were in heaven. I do have this fear of giving to much attention to one child over the other...I am sure that will pass in time. FOR EXAMPLE: Yesterday I picked Rory up from school with Rylee. Rory ran out of her classroom and I began stuffing all her stuff in the stroller. Trying to get out of there as fast as possible before either one had a meltdown. No meltdowns occurred however...I realized on the way home I didn't give my little Boo a hug when she came out of the room. GUILT!!! So needless to say...I was in tears. She didn't even notice and was just so happy Rylee was there and she pushed her in the stroller out to the car. BUT OH THE MOMMY GUILT! Anywho back to today...Rory went down for a nap all by herself...(while pregnant I began napping with Rory..bad bad Mommy) and then I got to spend some alone time with Rylee. I even have time to do a blog entry...WOW! Love these two girls more than anything!! I am sure tomorrow will be a different story...or Saturday when I take both of them to a birthday party...EEEK, but as for today...IT HAS BEEN GREAT!!

We had so much fun with Coop and Aunt Mere!! Basically...Cooper and Rory ran around like crazy children and we cuddled Rylee. Uncle Greg took Rory and Coopie to the park and then we went to church this morning. (Greg stayed with Rylee...I'm not ready to take her out into the "germ" filled world.) Greg goes back to work Tuesday...so I am sure we will be up for an outing then. Maybe to wait in the line to VOTE for our PRESIDENT can be her first public outing. Rory and I did go to Target yesterday morning and it felt so good to get out with my little boo. She was such a good girl...we were in the grocery aisle and all of a sudden she said, "I want to see the Christmas Books!" I am a sucker for CHRISTMAS and that just made my day...so of course we had to get "Clifford's First Christmas." Thank you Aunt Mere and Cousin Coop for coming to visit us!! Love yall!
